How XOCHECK text messaging works and how to consent

Program description

XOCHECK (https://www.xocheck.com) is a B2B SaaS compliance and workforce-management platform. Our SMS program sends transactional messages only: one-time passcodes (OTP) for two-factor authentication and login verification, plus occasional account notifications such as verification status updates and account security alerts. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

How to opt in

SMS is optional. To opt in, a registered user signs in to their XOCHECK account and goes to Settings → Two-Factor Authentication (https://www.xocheck.com/settings/2fa). There the user selects SMS as their verification method, enters their mobile phone number, and explicitly consents to receive messages. The number is confirmed with an initial verification code before any further messages are sent. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing or using the service.

At the point where the user enters their phone number and enables SMS, the following disclosure is displayed:

Required disclosures

  • Message types: one-time verification codes (OTP) and transactional account notifications.
  • Message frequency: varies based on your account activity (for example, one message per login verification or account event).
  • Cost: message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier plan.
  • Opt-out: reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or disable SMS in your account settings. Reply HELP for help.
  • Privacy: mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy (Section 14) and Terms of Service (Section 16).

  • Your XOCHECK verification code: 482913. This code expires in 10 minutes. Do not share this code with anyone. Reply STOP to opt out.
  • XOCHECK login verification code: 917445. Enter this code to complete your sign-in. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.
  • XOCHECK: Your account verification has been approved. Log in at xocheck.com to continue. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out.
